A fabric made for special occasions, Taffeta has been growing in popularity. It is a 100% poly fabric and thanks to its water-resistant nature, it can be used for many purposes. 

It is a crisp, plain-woven fabric, that came into existence in the Middle East in the twelfth century. With a lustrous appearance, taffeta is also quite durable, holding its shape for many years. It is generally used for making reusable bags, high-end bag linings, medical gowns, and bedsheets.

Washing Instruction of Silk Taffeta Fabric

• Always wash silk taffeta in cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C or 86°F) to prevent damage and shrinkage.
• For heavily embellished or intricately designed silk taffeta items, dry cleaning is the safest option.
• Iron on the lowest heat setting, specifically designed for silk, and always iron the fabric inside out.
